Comprises a miscellaneous collection of documents including personal diaries, histories, minutes of meetings and other records relating to prominent local Methodists and Methodist organisations including the Montgomery and Shropshire English Presbytery, and political material relating to Montgomeryshire Liberalism. Also includes a vestry book for Cyfronnydd township in the parish of Welshpool, 1822-1871, farm and shop books from Lower Montgomeryshire and a surveyor's book for Burgedin township, Guilsfield, 1863-1864, 1866-1867.

Administrative / Biographical History
Reverend David Pryce (1856-1933) of Trawscoed House, Guilsfield, Montgomeryshire was born in Guilsfield. He attended Joseph Owen's school at Machynlleth and was later a student at Bala theological college. He became a Methodist preacher and worked in the Montgomeryshire and Shropshire Presbytery for 56 years and also farmed land at several Montgomeryshire properties. He had a great interest in the history of Methodism around the Montgomeryshire-Shropshire border area and wrote an account of its development.
