Scope and Content

Letters, papers and poetical manuscripts of A.H. Clough, collected by Mrs Clough with the help of Anne Jemima Clough for their edition of Letters and remains (London, 1865). The collection includes:

  • General correspondence of Clough and his wife Blanche, 1829-1900
  • Correspondence between Clough and his wife, 1851-7
  • Letters from Henry Sidgwick to Blanche Clough, 1866-84
  • Lectures, essays, miscellaneous papers
  • Notebooks containing rough drafts and fair copies of poems, 1839-52
