Administrative / Biographical History

Sir Bartle Mordaunt Marsham Edwards was born in 1891 and educated at Eton and Sandhurst. As a Brigade Major, 181st Infantry Brigade, he served on the Western Front and in Salonika and Egypt/Palestine. He was awarded MC (Military Cross) and twice mentioned in despatches. He later became a Lieutenant-Colonel.
