Administrative / Biographical History
This volume was purchased by William Charles Braithwaite from John Jeffery, a bookseller of 115a City Road, London in 1908. A note pasted inside the volume indicates that Jeffrey purchased it with 'some Friends Books' from another bookseller and had no further information about its source. Braithwaite's books were passed to the Woodbrooke Library and in 2007, part of the Woodbrooke Library was purchased by the Cadbury Trust and presented to the Special Collections Department.

This manuscript item was found in 2008 amongst the printed books acquired from the Woodbrokke Library in 2007 and transferred to the department's archive collections.

Additional Information
The binding of this volume is in poor condition, the front cover almost detached and some of the pages are becoming loose. The majority of the text is written from the front to back but the volume has been turned and text written from the back on a small number of pages. There are some loose pages and there is evidence of other pages having been cut out.
