[Information from History of James Fryer Ltd by Basil Butcher].
George Henry Butcher (1875-1961) started his career making bicycles, later progressing to motor cycles and cars. He was also a chauffeur to Mrs Foster of Brockhampton Court. In 1908 James Fryer went into business with Butcher, opening The Green Dragon Garage in Hereford with Butcher as Manager. During WWI, Butcher was involved in food production, and was awarded an MBE.
