Comprises various personal documents, literary works, letters, and works of art by, or belonging to, N.K. Bokov, and also editorial correspondence and files of the literary journal Kovcheg (Paris, 1978-1981), which N.K. Bokov edited.

Administrative / Biographical History

Nikolai Konstantinovich Bokov (1945-) was a dissident writer in the Soviet Union, who emigrated to France in 1975. He published widely in the Russian migr press and in translation into English, French and German and edited the avant-garde Russian literary journal Kovcheg (Paris, 1978-1981). He subsequently abandoned literature and took to the road for several years. He began writing again in the mid-1990s and was awarded the Delmas Prize in 2001.
