Scope and Content

Financial returns prepared by the Gallery for Government annually. The accounts include: a foreword, which details the Gallery's history & aims; a review of its activities; fixed assets; payment of creditors and information about future developments.The accounts also include information about: membership of the Board of Trustees & their responsibilities; a certificate and report of the Comptroller and Auditor General to the Houses of Parliament; summary income and expenditure accounts; statement of financial activities; balance sheet and cash flow statement; and notes to the financial statements.

Arrangement

These records are arranged by financial year. There are no accounts for the period 1981-1982

Available to view by appointment in the Heinz Archive and Library Public Study Room, to make an appointment contact Archive Reception . Although records are generally available for public consultation, some information in them, such as personal data or information supplied to the Gallery in confidence, may be restricted.
