Scope and Content

SCRAPBOOK of the Mayoral year of William Thomas, J.P. ironmonger, Hall Street, Carmarthen. Notable events of that year included the Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary, the Investiture of the Prince of Wales at Carnarfon. The National Eisteddfod of Wales held at Carmarthen and the strike of railway workers.

Also included are letter press cuttings and copies of newspapers concerning the end of World Wars I and II, 1918 and 1945, and family notices.
