Custodial History

The series 'NLW Rolls' was created in 1992. Many rolls comprised in it had previously been identified by 'NLW Pedigree Box' numbers. These box numbers, now superseded, correspond to NLW Roll numbers. Rolls numbered 299-305 were bequeathed to NLW by Major P. J. Williams, and were until 1992 kept with the other papers which came with his bequest. The remaining items in the series were previously un-numbered, identified only by description (in Annual Reports) and location index. The sources of items are given where they can be ascertained without protracted search. The material of the roll is paper unless otherwise indicated.
