Scope and Content

Manuscript volume entitled 'Suspiria piae et acclamantis animae, or meditations, thoughts, ejaculatory prayers. On severall Occasions for private Benefit. But Made publick as they may be Applicable to ye private Necessities of any under the same Sentiments, Conditions and Temptations', [1677-1682].

The book is addressed "To Susanna espoused to Iohn Westwood Clerk. Deare Child, Silver and Gold have I none, but ... Thy ever truly loveing Father EN." Next page is numbered 1 and dated Decemb. ye 6th, 1682. And the last leaf is a postscript which begins " If you are disposed to print this Book... your sister Brocas...and add... the following Postscript."
