Rambert began its series of choreographic workshops in March 1967. The workshops were described as an occasion 'whereby novice choreographers, designers and musicians are given an opportunity to use their talents in a practical field' (Rambert a Celebration, p 76).
In order to qualify as a workshop it would have been 'performed to a paying audience. It does not include work choreographed for workshops with only invited audiences which generally denote work in progress' (Rambert a Celebration, p 137).
Workshops records have been catalogued in chronological order. Workshops that appear in this series are those that were performed as workshops only, if a work passed in to the Company repertoire than it appears in Productions (RDC/PD).
