Scope and Content

Mainly consists of property deeds, sales particulars, enclosure acts and postcards relating to various places within the county of Nottinghamshire. Also includes a map and survey of Girton, and correspondence and photograph relating to the war service of W. Dixon in the First World War.

Custodial History

The items were acquired in 2015. It was part of a larger collection of books and pamphlets relating to Nottinghamshire which was purchased by Manuscripts and Special Collections in 2015 from a Nottinghamshire bookseller. The books have been dispersed in the East Midlands and Special Collections; these items were not appropriate for the printed collections.
