Percy Henry Collick 1897 - 1984

Percy Collick contested the Reigate Division of Surrey in 1929 and 1931. He became Labour MP for West Birkenhead 1945 - 1950, and Birkenhead 1950 - 1964. He was also a member of the General Purposes Committee of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) 1930 - 1934. During 1944 Collick was a member of the National Executive of the Labour Party. From 1934 to 1940 he was Organising Secretary of the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers, and Assistant General Secretary 1940 - 1957. Collick was also Joint Party Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture 1945 - 1947, and a Council Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons 1949 - 1953. He was made an Honorary Freeman of Birkenhead in 1965.
