Scope and Content

Research relating to the discovery of a "gravestone" to a Sarah Jane Franke in a garden in Deganwy. Sarah Franke (c1844-1891) was a pub landlord's wife of Ruabon, Denbighshire with seemingly no connection to Deganwy and it remains a mystery why a "gravestone" to her should have been discovered when the house "Vardre" on Ty Mawr Road was demolished in 1999. Local Fiona Richards investigated at the time but was unable to find an answer.
