Scope and Content

Typescript transcripts, 1950, 1955, by C. V. Appleton, of a manuscript history and registers of Bethany Baptist Church, St Mary Street, Cardiff.
The typescripts include a transcript, 1955, of a register of church members, 1806-1864 (ff. 6-37), with indexes of surnames and places (ff. 38-51); an incomplete transcript, 1950, of the original register of births, 1804-1837, and deaths, 1807-1814 (ff. 55-62), with an index of names (ff. 63-64); and a transcript, 1955, of part of an early history of the Church, probably written by Thomas Hopkins, a founding member of the Church (ff. 2-4). A covering letter from the donor, 22 July 1955, is included (f. i).
