Scope and Content

Certain of the Commissioners appointed by Act of Parliament for making navigable the River Ivel from Tempsford, Bedfordshire to Hitchen and Bygrave, Hertfordshire, mortgage to John Driver of Mears Ashby, Northamptonshire, all the tolls to be granted by the Act as security upon a sum lent by him. Witnesses: S. Veasey, William Storkin. On the back is a receipt for the sum lent signed by Isaac Hindley, Treasurer to the Commissioners. Witnesses: the same. Seven seals are attached.
