Lord CAMOYS of Stoner Park sold his Nettlebed estate to H. H. GARDNER in 1894. Robert Fleming, the donor's grandfather, bought the estate in 1903 and in 1924 increased his landholding by the purchase of further property in Scotland. The donor took possession of the estate in 1938. His family were originally financiers in Britain and the United States.
