Scope and Content

In consideration of 60 marks, Sir Richard de Tanay confirms his gift to John de Suttone of a pasture in Stapelford Tanay [Stapleford Toney, Cambridgeshire] together with 76 acres of land in the same vill: 24 acres in Brodefeld, 22 acres in Pirifeld, and 32 acres in Lamputfeld [sic]. To be held of Richard and his heirs to John, his heirs, assigns, vendees or assignees. Reserving annual rent of one penny at Christmas for all services other than royal service. Warranty against Christians and Jews. Deed poll, witnessed by John de Ca[u?]nne, Andrew de Hauvile, Henry de Berewik', Hugh son of Michael, Walter le Harepur, William de Haverhulle, Michael de la Strete, Simon de Hawnes, Roger clerk, and many others. Tag, seal wanting. Endorsed: '+', and in a modern hand: 'No 127'; '29216' cancelled.
