Administrative / Biographical History

George Norman Herington, OBE (1950), was born in 1899. Between 1917 and 1919 he was on military service. In 1929 he was appointed to the post of Agricultural Instructor, working for the Education Department in Nigeria. He subsequently held the posts of Senior Agricultural Education Officer (from 1945) and Senior Rural Education Officer.
