with James H. Tonge and his daughter, Mrs K. Rosenthal. The Lord Lieutenant is standing next to Prince Charles; the visit to Trefriw was to see the works which had been carried out following severe flooding earlier that year. At the time, Mr Tonge was Vice-Chairman of Conwy County Borough Council.
