Administrative / Biographical History
Hermann Spencer (1892-1919) was born at Menai Bridge, Anglesea, and educated at Dulwich College and Jesus College, Oxford. Blind in one eye from birth, and in both by 1917, he became a psychologist and developed a new treatment for shell shock. He died of influenza during the epidemic in 1919.
