A commercially produced portfolio containing twelve prints, each 130 x 105 mm, mounted on card with printed captions, showing scenes in and around Brisbane. Photographer and publisher George P Wright, James Street, Valley, Brisbane.

Administrative / Biographical History

George Parkinson Wright was a commercial photographer active in Queensland, Australia in the 1870s and 80s. Wright had studios at: Fortitude Valley 1874-1878; Creek Street, Brisbane 1878-1881; 162 Elizabeth Street, Brisbane 1882; Roma Street, Brisbane 1883 (Davies and Stanbury 1985, p.256).
