The objects of the Valley Pier and Trading Company according to its Memorandum of Association was : (a) To erect quays or piers with all appliances required for discharging, loading and accommodating vessels and merchandise (b) To carry on any business, trade, or undertaking that may be considered advantageous or desirable (b) To carry on any business, trade, or undertaking that may be considered advantageous or desirable (c) To purchase for cash or paid up shares or other consideration or otherwise acquire the whole, or any part of any business, trade or undertaking, share or shares in vessels, or any other company, or other real or personal property (d) To advance money on loan with or without security (d) To advance money on loan with or without security (e) To raise or borrow any sums of money by bond bill of exchange, promissorz note debenture or otherwise as may be deemed but the Directors advisable (e) To raise or borrow any sums of money by bond bill of exchange, promissorz note debenture or otherwise as may be deemed but the Directors advisable (f) To transact, do and perform all such other acts matters and things as are incidental or otherwise conducive to the attaining of the above objects or any of them
