Scope and Content

Comprises: 1) Typescript of a play 'The Other Woman's Child', in two acts, 36 ff., typed in black ink, with underlining in red, on sheets interleaved with thick paper, bound in blue cloth; 2) Carbon copy typescript of a story 'Lost', 33 ff., with a signed photograph of Sigerson as frontispiece, on sheets interleaved with tissue paper ('owl' watermark), signed by Sigerson at the back of last typed sheet, bound in green cloth; and 3) Volume of press notices collected by Clement K. Shorter between 1895 and 1914, from The Critic, Daily Chronicle, Guardian, Irish Monthly, Spectator, and elsewhere, with reviews of her various collections of poetry and short stories, articles about her as a poet, several photographs, and original letters from Grant Allen, Charles Gavan Duffy, Louise Chandler-Moulton, Edmund Gosse, and others.
