Typescript recollections of the First World War; 27 sheets of photographs, with captions, taken from the photograph album of F.A. Archdale, including pictures of East Africa, Palestine and Karachi, 1915-1919; 1 portrait photograph of Archdale (1917); 12 copied photographs of Sopwith seaplanes (nd).

Administrative / Biographical History

F.A. Archdale, who was born in 1890, first served in the MN (Merchant Navy) Pilot Service, then as an officer in 130th King George's Own Baluchis, in East Africa and Palestine (ca. 1915-1918), and later became a Colonel.
