Golding Constable of East Bergholt bequeathes a certain sum to the seven children of his late brother John Constable; a certain sum to his sister Ann Constable; to his sister Martha Whaley a certain sum; to his sister Mary Constable a certain sum; to his brother Abram Constable for the purchase of blankets to be distributed among the deserving poor of East Bergholt; a certain sum to the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge; an annuity to his housekeeper, Mary Abbott; all his real estate and the residue of his personal estate to his brother Abram Constable, whom he appoints Executor. Witnesses: S. B. Jackaman, Joshua Worts, Richard S. L. Hudson. The will was proved at London 18 September 1838. The copy is transcribed by Charles Dyneley, John Iggulden. W. F.
