The volume is a bound series of 75 watercolour illustrations of birds and one of eggs, some of which are annotated and dated (from 1803 at the earliest to 1831 at the latest) and which seem to be local to the Devon/Cornwall border, as some are recorded to have been sketched 'at the boathouse', and Calstock is on the River Tamar. A number of sketches have contemporary MS notes attached.
