Administrative / Biographical History

The Mynydd Cilgwyn Friendly Society (Cymdeithas Caredigion Mynydd y Cilgwyn) was an association in which members paid fixed contributions to insure help in sickness or old age. An example of relief provided by the society in 1880 was to ensure that a Griffith Williams, on the recommendation of a Dr Griffiths, should leave home for a "change of air", for the sake of his health.

Mynydd Cilgwyn is located in the parish of Llandwrog in Caernarfonshire. The Friendly Society served the people of Llandwrog and surrounding area.
