Scope and Content

Twenty-five letters and telegrams to J. F. Morris, Carmarthen, solicitor and Liberal Unionist, relating to the selection of a Liberal Unionist candidate for the 1889 by-election in the West Carmarthenshire division and to attempts at co-operation with local Conservatives. The main correspondents are Robert Bickersteth, London, secretary of the Liberal Unionist Association and Leigh Maclachlan, Cardiff, agent of the Liberal Unionists in South Wales.
