Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The Girl Guides Association was formed in 1910. In 1916, Lady Baden-Powell became Chief Commissioner of the Girl Guides in Wales and reorganised it into its historic counties and appointed County Commissioners. The Merioneth Girl Guides Association was the organizing body for Girl Guide movement in Merionethshire.
