Charlotte Eyre was the wife of John Eyre, Archdeacon of York and daughter of Sir George Armytage of Kirklees Hall, MP for York.

Custodial History

It appears that Miss Eyre originally deposited the autograph and seal with the Castle Museum. However it was transferred from the Castle Museum to the archive in November 1966.
