Administrative / Biographical History
The Bulkeley family of Anglesey was one of the most powerful families in north Wales with its chief seat at Baron Hill, Beaumaris. Arthur Bulkeley (d. 1552), younger brother of the first Sir Richard Bulkeley (d. 1546 or early 1547), was Bishop of Bangor from 1541 to 1552.
