Scope and Content

Deed for the payment by Nicholas Girling of Bury St. Edmunds to Richard Calverley, an infant, son of Samuell Calverley, D.D., of Outwell, of a certain sum of the purchase money of certain land in Outwell, Cambs. and in Upwell, Norfolk, sold to him by Samuell, Edward and William Calverley, brothers of Richard Calverley and heirs of Samuell Calverley, D.D. The land was charged with a yearly rent to be paid to Richard Calverley on attaining his majority, in lieu of discharge of which a certain sum of the purchase money was left in the hands of Nicholas Girling to be paid by him to Richard Calverley on attaining his majority. Witnessed by John Aylworth, Thomas Beriffe, and Richard Clagette.
