Minutes (1917-1935), reports and finance (1955-1962) from Dumbarton County Scouts Council, Swimming Gala Programmes (1958-1962), Tea Dance Tickets (1955), and certificates from the High Standard of Exhibit, Scout Show, Glasgow (13-21 April 1934).

Administrative / Biographical History

The Boy Scouts Association was formed in 1912 with "the purpose of instructing boys of all classes in the principles of discipline loyalty and good citizenship". The archive records held by West Dunbartonshire include records relating to the Mid-Dumbarton Boy Scouts Local Associations; the Dumbarton County Scouts Council; the 4th Dumbarton Boy Scouts; and the 5th Dumbarton Boy Scouts. The records date from 1911 to 1970.
