Inlaid into each cover is a panel, 175 x 110 mm., on darker calf, from a late-eighteenth or early-nineteenth century blind-stamped binding with a foliage and flower design which includes a stamp and two rolls also found on the inlaid panels on MS I.4, probably tools belonging to the rebinder
