Within each volume small paper pages in Stoker's autograph have been pasted on to larger pages

The other 3 vols are bound in dark green leather with gilt lettering respectively as follows: (1) AUTOGRAPH LETTERS SIR WALTER SCOTT. 1814-1830; (2) WILKIE'S PICTURE OF SCOTT AND HIS FAMILY: MSS; (3) SIR WALTER SCOTT'S MONUMENT EDINBURGH. MELVILLE PAPERS. The autograph letters from most of these vols have been removed, conserved, and placed in envelopes within archive boxes separate from their original vols, which now mainly contain only transcriptions
