(slightly cropped). Rebound, [early-19 cent.], in blind-stamped pigskin, with a blind-stamped panel, dark brown calf, c. 185 x c. 140 mm., from a late fifteenth-century binding inlaid into each cover: the style is that of the Caxton binder, the panels include two small stamps, one of which may be identified as J. B. Oldham, English Blind-stamped bindings (Cambridge, 1952) no. 268, attributed to Henry Cony, the other a stag within a lozenge (not Oldham no. 91 as suggested by Spencer and Alexander (1978)); 'MISCELLAN[E] MS' and 'PORKINGTON MANUSCRIPT No. 11' (gold on spine).
