Binding dimensions 200 x 156 mm. Decoration: Title page opens with 3 line blue lombard with red flourishing, then text in alternating lines of red and blue, followed by a pen flourish in blue ink. Major divisions marked by 2 line lombards, that on fol. 3r blue with red flourishing, those following red with blue flourishing. First initial of each verse rubricated throughout, alternating blue and red. Colophon in red with blue initial. Hand-drawn and coloured ensigns in outer margin of most leaves from fols 4r-21r. A hand-drawn and coloured stylized illustration of Caerlaverock Castle situated in its moat, with ensigns sprouting from three towers (fol. 21v).
