The armorial contains emblazoned coats of arms of English knights during the reign of Edward II (1307-27), arranged by counties. The manuscript was probably compiled in the late 17th or early 18th centuries. It was extensively water-damaged at some date and was repaired and rebound, with new end-papers, probably in the early 19th century; original folio 1 is now missing. The original index is included at the back of the volume. There are frequent notes and corrections in pencil.
