Scope and Content

Volume of genealogical notes and family trees relating to the Burton family of Leicestershire and Derbyshire, compiled by Miss M.A.N. Marshall, together with modern copies of 19th-century photographs and silhouettes of members of the family; these include Charles James Burton (1792-1887), Chancellor of the Diocese of Carlisle. The volume is entitled: The Family of Burton of Leicestershire and Derbyshire and their Descendants at Lydd (Kent), Carlisle, Cheltenham, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. 12th century to early 20th century, compiled by [Miss] M.A.N. Marshall. With a folder containing silhouettes and photographs of members of the family.
