Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Medipack Products Ltd was incorporated as limited liability company in 1935 with its registered offices in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. The company was established to produce and market a sea sickness and air nausea preparation called "White Wings", invented by the chemist Frank Hines of Felixstowe, Suffolk. Frank was a director of the company, along with Frederick Salmon of Sutton, Surrey, England who was manager, and Andrew Thomson, accountant of Balham, London, England. The company had a share capital of £1000 with each director holding 10 shares at £1 each. Sir Malcolm McAlpine, a director of Sir Robert McAlpine & Sons , civil engineering contractors, London, provided finance to the company from time to time but does not appear to have been a director. The company appears to have been wound up at some point in the early 1940s .
