Records of Stoddard International plc, Design Archive, Assorted Persian Bordered Squares

A selection of small sketches, all from the late 19th to mid 20th century and Persian in style. Some are signed by Frederick J. Mayers and Charles A. Allen, while others carry the label of the German designers 'Heidner & Hübner'. A number also are stamped with the manufacters' mark 'James Templeton & Co. Ltd.' Most, though not all, are mounted on hard board and some designs are in the form of promotional boards, which can be cross-referenced with STOD/201/1/1 'Catalogues'.
