Administrative / Biographical History

This collection of plans was found at the Linthouse yard, Govan, Glasgow, Scotland. The yard was opened in 1868 by Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd, shipbuilders who in 1963  acquired the assets and goodwill of Simons-Lobnitz Ltd , shipbuilders, Renfrew, Scotland. In 1968  the company's shipbuilding assets were transferred to Upper Clyde Shipbuilders Ltd Linthouse Division.
