The Glasgow Workmen's Dwellings Co Ltd , Scotland, was formed in 1890  with a starting capital of £50,000 which was divided into 5,000 shares of £10 each. Its aim was to provide comfortable dwellings for the industrial classes and its first new construction projects were carried out at Rottenrow (Cathedral Court) and Bridgeton Cross (Greenhead Court), Glasgow . It also undertook a number of renovation projects, including those at George Court, Ardgowan Place and Dundas Court. In 1901  its registered office was at 137 West George Street, Glasgow. It entered into voluntary liquidation in 1950  . John Mann, jnr, of Mann Judd Gordon & Co, chartered accountants, was the secretary of the Glasgow Workmen's Dwellings Co Ltd.
