Administrative / Biographical History
The Scottish Coal Exporters' Association Limited was formed "with the view of mutual protection and to secure fair play" at a meeting of coal exporters on 31 May 1899 . The company held monthly meetings. It was decided on 13 November 1947 to wind up the company and to form a new association called the Coal Exporters' Association of Scotland , Thomson McLintock & Co , chartered accountants, Glasgow, being appointed secretaries. The Association was wound up in December 1962 .
