Administrative / Biographical History
Margaret Ritchie was born in 1923 and gained her MA from the University of Glasgow in 1945 . She joined the University of Glasgow as a member of staff in 1964, as a research assistant in the Social Study department. She became a lecturer in 1967, and from 1971 she was a lecturer in the newly formed department of Social Administration and Social Work. Margaret's area of specialisation was focused upon criminology. Miss Ritchie left the department in 1976 .
