Lynn Proofing Co was incorporated as a limited liability company as Lynn Proofing Co Ltd in 1916 with a share capital of £3000. The first directors of the company were D G Moodie, A M Cameron, A W Alexander and E J R Stollery. Mr D G Moodie was elected as Chairman of the company. It appears that the company was a subsidiary of Andrew Mitchell & Co Ltd , canvas and plastic good manufacturers, Glasgow, Scotland, as the first meetings of the company were held at the offices at 21 Bishop Street, Anderston, Glasgow. The registered office of the company was initially Netherlee Mills, Cathcart, Glasgow but soon reverted back to the Head Office of Andrew Mitchell & Co Ltd at 356 Amulree Street, Glasgow. By 1968, Andrew Mitchell & Co Ltd were the chief shareholders in Lynn Proofing Co Ltd . The company was still active in 1984 .
