Leaflet for Canadian distribution of Dickinson’s United Nations production, ‘OUT’.
Dickinson's first film as Chief of Film for the United Nations was 'OUT', a film about Hungarian refugees arrival in Austria, and their subsequent period of waiting in the refugee camp, Traiskirchen, before emigration. The true story tells of a young woman who has two children, who has fled Hungary for Vienna, and has to share a room with 89 other refugees. She registers for emigration, to find out that many countries have filled their quota for accepting refugees. The intention of this public information film was to remind the public and international community of this struggle, so that they do not become complacent.
