pay&power: N. Hingley and Sons
Founded by Noah Hingley in 1837, this chain and anchor manufacturer and iron masters company was reputed to have been the largest anchor and chain-making factory in the world. The company produced the anchor for the Titanic, the costing records for which can be found in this collection.
The collection at Dudley Archives and Local History Service also contains records of its constitution, financing, management, accounting and production of N. Hingley & Sons, Ltd. and its subsiduaries from around 1890 until 1982.
