X: General elections: Keir Hardie

Keir Hardie (1856-1915) and others formed the Independent Labour Party in 1893 and organised the meeting in 1900 that lead to the creation of the Labour Party. Hardie was elected Labour Member of Parliament for Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales. He was re-elected in the 1906 general election, which was won by the Liberal Party.
The pamphlet's cover reads:
"Parliamentary Election, 1906. Borough of Merthyr Tydfil. Address to the Electors by J. Keir Hardie, the Labour Candidate. Printed (T.U.) by Joseph Williams & Sons, "Tyst" Office, Merthyr, & Published by Frank Smith, Agent for the Labour Candidate, at 97 High st., Merthyr."
